This Privacy Policy explains how ThreadCheck ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles
your information. We built ThreadCheck with privacy in mind — we collect as little data
as possible and keep everything on your device.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect and store the following data locally on your device:
- Outfit Photos: Photos you take or select for rating are stored on your device only.
We do not upload or store your photos on any server we operate.
- Style Preferences: Choices you make during onboarding (style preferences, fit goals)
are saved locally to personalize your experience.
- Rating History: Your past outfit ratings and feedback are stored on your device so
you can track your style over time.
- Streak Data: Information about your usage streaks is maintained locally to support
the streak feature.
We do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Account credentials (there are no user accounts)
- Location data
- Contacts or address book information
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
2. HOW YOUR PHOTOS ARE PROCESSED
When you submit an outfit for rating, your photo is sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered
analysis. This transmission is necessary to generate your outfit rating. Important details:
- Photos are sent directly to OpenAI for processing and are subject to OpenAI's data
usage policies.
- We do not store your photos on any server we own or operate.
- We do not retain copies of photos after the AI analysis is complete.

3. SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT
ThreadCheck offers subscription plans managed through RevenueCat, a third-party
subscription management platform. RevenueCat processes your subscription status and
purchase receipts to manage access to premium features. Payments are handled entirely
through the Apple App Store. We do not have access to your payment details (credit card
number, billing address, etc.).

4. LOCAL DATA STORAGE
All app data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This means:
- Your data stays on your device and is not synced to any cloud service.
- If you delete the App, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
- If you switch devices, your data does not transfer automatically.
- We have no ability to access, recover, or view your locally stored data.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI API: For AI-powered outfit analysis. Photos are transmitted to OpenAI for
processing.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management and purchase verification.
- Apple App Store: For payment processing.
We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data
transmitted from your device is:
- Photos sent to OpenAI for outfit analysis (as described in Section 2).
- Subscription purchase receipts sent to RevenueCat for verification (as described
in Section 3).
7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- To delete all data, simply uninstall the App. This permanently removes all stored
information.
- We do not retain any data on our servers because we do not collect any.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ThreadCheck is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect
any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the App,
please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to Access: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you already have
direct access to all your data within the App.
- Right to Deletion: You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the App.
- Right to Portability: Your data is stored locally and is accessible on your device.
- Right to Object: We do not process personal data for marketing, profiling, or
automated decision-making beyond the outfit rating feature you initiate.
- Data Processing Basis: The limited processing we perform (sending photos to OpenAI)
is based on your explicit consent each time you submit a photo for rating.
Because we do not collect personal information or maintain user accounts, most GDPR data
subject requests are satisfied by the local-only nature of the App.
10. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER CCPA (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy
Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: This Privacy Policy describes all data practices. We do not collect
personal information as defined by the CCPA.
- Right to Delete: Uninstall the App to delete all data.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their
privacy rights.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will
notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted
constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using ThreadCheck ("the App,"
"we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these
Terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using ThreadCheck, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you
do not agree, do not use the App.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
ThreadCheck is an AI-powered outfit rating application. You submit photos of your outfits,
and our AI provides ratings, feedback, and style suggestions. The App also tracks your
rating history, style preferences, and usage streaks.
3. AI RATINGS DISCLAIMER
The outfit ratings, style feedback, and suggestions provided by ThreadCheck are generated
by artificial intelligence and are for entertainment and general guidance purposes only.
They do not constitute professional fashion advice, personal styling services, or any form
of expert consultation.
We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated
ratings or suggestions. Your personal style is yours — use our ratings as one input among
many.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING
a. ThreadCheck offers auto-renewing subscription plans that unlock premium features.
b. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to
Apple's terms of service for in-app purchases.
c. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
d. To cancel your subscription, go to your Apple App Store account settings and manage
your subscriptions. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
e. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. Please contact Apple
Support for refund requests.
f. Prices may change from time to time. We will notify you in advance of any price
changes. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
a. You are solely responsible for the content of any photos you submit to the App.
b. You must not submit photos that contain illegal content, content depicting minors,
or content that violates the rights of others.
c. You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of outfit rating and style
feedback.
d. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
a. ThreadCheck, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Bolshy Island
Enterprises and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
b. You retain ownership of any photos you submit. By submitting a photo for rating, you
grant us a limited, temporary license to transmit the photo to our AI service provider
for analysis. We do not store or retain your photos.
c. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App
without our written permission.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App relies on third-party services including OpenAI (for AI analysis) and RevenueCat
(for subscription management). Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and
policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of
third-party services.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
a. ThreadCheck is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind,
whether express or implied.
b. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful
components.
c. In no event shall Bolshy Island Enterprises be liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
d. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you
paid for the App or its subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
e. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated ratings or
suggestions.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bolshy Island Enterprises from any claims,
damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the
App or violation of these Terms.
10. MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time,
with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or
discontinuation of the service.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify
you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes
acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. TERMINATION
a. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
b. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate
these Terms.
c. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall
the App.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the
courts of the United States.
14. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions
will continue in full force and effect.
15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you
and Bolshy Island Enterprises regarding your use of ThreadCheck.
